PSU for 6C33C
« on: March 09, 2010, 11:56:53 AM »
This is my PSU for first variant of 6C33C - 34 kg :)
The main transformer is common /only iron/. There are separated coils for each channel
/220v, 12,6v, 6,3v, 90v-for neg.bias/. For rect. I use 4 diodes BYV26E.
Two tranies are chocks for each channels. The filter is CLCRC. First C=100uF with serial res.
27 ohm/5 wt. Second C=450uF/450v for 6C33C. 3-th C=220 uF for preamplifier.
In ampl. box there are add C=450uF/450v for 6C33C and C=220uF/450v for 6E5P to
eliminate long cable resist in pic sound.

Whoa! 34kg. I'm curious to find out how much my psu section will weigh. Need to order power transformers and I'm on my way!

Hi azazello,

Oeps...made a mistake. I was thinking this was for a GM70 amp.

But I also have a 6C33C amp in the planning. For that I have chokes and must still order a power transformer. I'm thinking Simplex but parafeed output stage. So with current source (Cascode Ixys IXTH20N50) and Magnequest EXO-800.

Kind regards,
Bas
