Tube RIAA with hybrid rectifier
« on: April 07, 2010, 09:28:44 PM »
Hallo everybody,

that is my current RIAA pre amp. It uses a rectifier tube with a transformer without center tap, the negative pole is supported by two fast switching diodes. Works great, I got 0,6 volt ripple noise by 250 volt B+, that is very excellent IMHO. The pre amp is very quiet and sounds sweet.

Kind regards from Holland

Ben

Hallo everybody, here are the promised pictures of my RIAA. It turned out a bit messy, but it is virtually noise free. I like the sound of it very much, very warm and clear and a strong bottom end as well, it rocks. Have been listening to Beethoven's 9th symphony very loud with a good friend this afternoon, wow, indeed very enjoyable.
